A gorgeous collection of realistic looking yet fantastical and colourful postcards reprinted from the 1903 French publication, La Vie des Animaux Illustrée – Les Oiseux (The Illustrated Life of Animals – Birds) by Edmond Perrier and Julien Salmon. Most of the illustrations were drawn and painted by German artist W. Kuhnert.
There are 12 postcards in the collection.
The 12 birds represented are: Eagle Faure, Cockatoo, Sengalese Parrot, Toucan, Woodpecker, Ara, Pygargue and Heron, Kingfisher, Rollier, Helotarise, Merle de Roche, Sarcoramphe.
The postcards are 10 x 15 cm, or 4 x 6 inches.
These postcards are made from thick high-quality matte paper.
